Annual Business Survey indexed, Great Britain
Data from businesses' end-year accounts, including turnover, wages and salaries, purchases of goods and services, stocks and capital expenditure.
The Annual Business Survey (ABS) is the main structural business survey conducted by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Before 2009, the ABS was known as the Annual Business Inquiry part 2 (ABI/2) with data going back to 1995. The ABS publishes information from businesses representing the UK non-financial business economy (about two-thirds of the UK economy).
The variables covered include turnover, purchases, employment costs, capital expenditure and stocks. The ABS publishes variable data down to four-digit class level of Standard Industrial Classification 2007: SIC 2007 at the national level and two-digit division at the International Territorial Level region level.
This data is indexed to the Business Index Legal Unit from the Reference Data Management Framework (RDMF).
All data hosted on the Integrated Data Service (IDS) are de-identified.
