Census 2019 rehearsal workplace data

Responding addresses from the 2019 Census rehearsal data containing question response rates and values for workplace area, workplace type and transport to work.

Record-level dataset of responding addresses from the four Census 2019 rehearsal areas:

  • Carlisle
  • Ceredigion
  • Hackney
  • Tower Hamlets

The data have been de-identified by removing the unique property reference number (UPRNs) of the addresses. The values from each response and the response rates are included for the variables:

  • transport to work
  • workplace type
  • workplace address
  • responding address

Address variables and response rates have been aggregated to Lower layer Super Output Area (LSOA) and Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOA) levels. The data will be used as part of the estimation of travel to work matrices project, which is part of census consultation. One important next step for this project is to validate the model using the data to compare and validate the estimated travel to work matrices.

All data hosted on the Integrated Data Service (IDS) are de-identified.
