Business Insights and Conditions Survey, UK

Business Insights and Conditions Survey (BICS) is a fortnightly survey collecting data on the impact of challenges faced by the economy and other events on UK businesses.

The dataset contains individual business returns to the Business Insights and Conditions Survey (BICS) collecting real-time information on the impact of challenges facing the economy and other events on UK businesses, such as the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the end of the EU transition period.

BICS is a voluntary fortnightly survey, where each wave of data covers a period of two weeks capturing business views on impact on turnover, workforce prices, trade and business resilience.

The questions can change from wave to wave, so comparison and routing of the questions needs to be monitored closely.

Coverage is also varied, so the number of responses and response rates should be carefully considered in any analysis.

All data hosted on the Integrated Data Service (IDS) are de-identified.
