The Individual Secure Microdata Sample is a 10% sample of individual person records in the 2011 census output database for Scotland.

Census data are collected every 10 years in Scotland. Census data for the 2011 Census was the 27th of March 2011.

The Individual Secure Microdata Sample file includes person-level data on 145 variables. The lowest level of geography is council area. The dataset includes people resident in households and communal establishments; and both usual residents and schoolchildren or full-time students living away from home during term time.
