Events : Join the Integrated Data Service at Civil Service Live
Civil Service Live (CSL) 2024 is an important event in the annual calendar for any civil servant. With around 600 departments, agencies and public bodies, this year’s CSL event is expected to attract lots of visitors from every corner of the UK.
The organiser’s objective is to educate, engage and empower all delegates as part of their visitor experience. With this in mind, the Integrated Data Service (IDS) will have a stand and an interactive hub to explain the world of the IDS and how data are linked, shared, and used to make impactful decisions at pace.
At the time of publishing this article, we can confirm the IDS will feature at these CSL locations:
- Edinburgh International Conference Centre (opens in a new tab) (EICC), Friday 7 June
- National Exhibition Centre (NEC), (opens in a new tab) Birmingham, Tuesday 11 June
- Blackpool Winter Gardens (opens in a new tab) , Tuesday 18 June
- International Convention Centre (opens in a new tab) Wales, Newport, Tuesday 25 June
- International Conference Centre ExCeL (opens in a new tab) , London, Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 July
- Sandy Park Conference Centre (opens in a new tab) , Exeter, Thursday 11 July
We invite you to book a space at our interactive hub through the Civil Service Live website (opens in a new tab) once registration opens (expected 24 April 2024). We will have a packed programme that includes special guest speakers, product demonstrations and question and answer sessions that will be easy to interact with.
Remember that there will be an exhibition stand at each location too, where some of our friendly and knowledgeable colleagues will be delighted to chat more to you about the IDS.
Who should attend
- Any civil servant who is curious about data.
- Government analysts and researchers.
- Anyone whose role is working with, or a custodian of, data in their organisation.
- People who are interested in the role that statistics has today, especially of how linking data will be a game changer.
If you cannot attend
Do not worry though if you are not a civil servant or are not able to attend. After CSL we will be sharing a recording of our product demonstration, as well as updating our website and newsletter with any relevant topics that we discussed. So, you will still be able to catch up in some way at your convenience.
We also have a schedule of events lined up for later in the year, so watch this space for more information.
If you have not already, why not sign up to our monthly free IDS newsletter? To receive future editions, email the team at IDS.Comms@ons.gov.uk with “newsletter” in the subject line (opens in a new tab)
You can use this email address if you have any questions or comments too. Meanwhile we are looking forward to meeting as many of you in person over this summer.
